Policy
EMEDCO is an International Engineering and Construction Group engaged in the Public and Private Sector throughout Cyprus and overseas. The Members of the Group are registered in the Council for Registration and Control of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors as follows:
The Group is focused on delivering high-class construction services that matches or exceeds customer expectations and is pioneering in the significance of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment based Management System.
To achieve the Policy and its objectives the company is committed to provide all necessary resources for the implementation and improvement of the INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM in accordance with the international standards: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015.
The performance of the System is continuously monitored and assessed on annual basis through a comprehensive audit process and an appropriate suite of key performance indicators.
The specific objectives are to:
- Acknowledge and fully comply National and European Legislation
- Continuously improve customer satisfaction, and efficiency of operations
- Implement specific procedures for setting, monitoring, and reviewing ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001:2015 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
- Continuously identify and address risks of any nature including: environmental, health and safety, personal data
- Assure that all personnel skills and competency are maintained to a high level
- Work towards sustainable development and improvement to environmental performance, impacts and emergencies, and promote sustainable global improvement by participating and communicating environmental issues with other interested parties
- To ensure that employees and associates are protected from any epidemic including COVID-19 following all guidelines issued by authorities
- To ensure that environmental impacts are minimized and controlled, in addition ensure the prevention of pollution as a result of our operations and activities
- Minimize incidents and accidents in projects
- To comply with all applicable legal and other requirements, in order to ensure the protection of the environment and the health and safety of its personnel and energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption.
- To protect the environment, to identify and evaluate the environmental aspects of its activities and services.
- To identify the hazards and minimize the risks to all personnel by taking appropriate proactive measures.
- To prevent injuries, illnesses, pandemics and emergency incidents that could be caused by its activities and operation.
- To provide appropriate training to its personnel regarding health, safety and environmental issues.
- To ensure consultation and participation of workers at all applicable levels and functions regarding occupational health and safety.
- To reduce waste production and to ensure that the produced waste is handled and disposed in an environment – friendly manner.
- To protect its personnel and the social environment within which it operates, by adapting safe technologies and operational procedures.
- To communicate its commitment to protect the environment and the health and safety of its personnel, suppliers, clients, and the wider social environment within which it operates.
- To protect the antiquities, the cultural heritage and the flora-fauna of the ecosystem, by adapting environment-friendly methods and technologies.
The CEO has the overall responsibility for this Policy and shall ensure that it is made available and clearly communicated to the company’s employees and clients. The employees have the duty to understand and implement this Policy and its requirements throughout the company’s operations.
